Hello!! I'm Charlie and animals are my passion! I am a Vet Tech by trade (specializing in Internal Medicine and Emergency care). I have extensive experience in medication administration (including checking BGs and giving insulin). I have 20+ years experience working with health compromised pets, so it's easy for me to spot when an animal is not behaving normally.
I enjoy caring for all types of animals. I feel I am in the right place at the right time doing the right thing when advocating for and/or spending time with pets. I relocated to Converse, TX from Nashville,TN in order to care for my father. My little love Dharma was an adorable mix of long-haired Dachshund and Maltese. She was one of the sweetest dogs you will ever meet. She was the inspiration for my decision to finally take the plunge and pursue my dream of caring for pets full time. It only made sense to make her the namesake of a business based on my lifelong love of animals!
My goal is to establish a regular clientele base in the San Antonio/Cibolo/Schertz area much as I had in Tennessee. I have many references available upon request. If you would like a consultation or have any questions, feel free to contact me!
I'm Jenn! Taking care of animals has always been a passion of mine and in 2001 I graduated with an Associate's degree in Veterinary technology from Palo Alto College. Caring for pets outside of a clinic setting is relaxing and fun! Keeping pets comfortable and stress free is very important to me. When I'm not helping Charlie as one of Dharma's Human Crew, I love spending time with my family and my furry children. I also enjoy traveling, beaching, playing tennis, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, yoga and listening to music.
Hi! I'm Livia, one of Charlie's helpers! My dream goal is to specialize in working for small animal hospitals. I believe in treating pets with love and care. I am grateful and excited to be part of Dharma's Human Crew. Every day is a new experience and I love learning! I always look forward to more pet adventures as I continue to move toward achieving all my goals!
Hello! I'm Raven! I've known Charlie for a long time, but I joined the Dharma’s Human Crew in 2024! I've worked with animals for close to 7 years helping out at veterinary clinics and various rescue organizations around the city. I am a true Shepherd lover! I share my home with five rescued Shepherds and Shepherd mixes. I have a soft heart for anxious pups and I really enjoy helping them come out of their shells, to not only look their best but to feel their best!
I'm not officially one of Dharma's Human Crew, but I'm Cate, the lucky companion of this beautiful furry guy Taz. It's been my honor to help Charlie design her site and grow her business! I want to let everyone know why I am delighted for the opportunity to help out. A couple of years ago, on a very casual first time play date with some of Dharma's pack, Charlie felt a lump in Taz's armpit. Long story short, it ended up being a malignant growth that needed to be removed in order to save our beloved Taz's life. Charlie was there through the entire procedure and a scary difficult recovery. She reassured us, checked in on him, and really helped get us through the whole ordeal. Charlie is Taz's guardian angel and there is no thanks sufficient for what she did for us and him. So while I am here only as a behind the scene presence, I wanted to pop into this space so I can make sure that anyone who comes across this website will know the backstory. Everything here is woven from the love that Charlie has for animals and the gratitude that we feel for having her in our dog's life!

We may be called Dharma's Bed & Biscuit but that doesn't mean we take a cookie cutter approach to caring for animals. Each and every one of the pets we care for is unique with their own individual histories, personalities, likes, dislikes, anxieties, and joys!
This is why we ALWAYS make sure to do an initial assessment of every client we serve. It's so important that your beloved animal companions are as happy and comfortable as possible. Our philosophy is simple: we strive to offer a catered experience that is specific to YOUR pet!
